He recently gushed about life as a newlywed after previously earning the title of Britain’s most famous bachelor.

And it seems that Hugh Grant and his wife Anna Eberstein are still in the throes of the honeymoon period, as they enjoyed an evening out together on Saturday.

The actor, 58, cut a dapper figure as the pair strolled along the street after dining out at a London restaurant.

He sported a pale blue shirt, which he wore under a brown sports jacket, teamed with a pair of navy chinos and suede loafers.

Walking alongside him, his wife Anna wore an outfit not too dissimilar from the one she showcased on her wedding day.

The television producer displayed her enviable pins in a navy mini skirt, which featured a white Aztec style pattern.

Anna paired her thigh-skimming number with a crisp white blouse and striped espadrilles, keeping her locks in a natural loose style.

Hugh could not help but gush about life as a newlywed last month during his interview on NBC’s Today show.

Speaking to host Savannah Guthrie, he admitted he felt so ‘lucky’ to have Anna as a wife – and only wishes he’d got married before.

Discussing married life, the Love Actually star said: ‘It’s really nice, I can’t pretend it isn’t.’

After years of opposing the act, he continued: ‘I should have done it before. I’m just lucky. I’ve got a great wife. I love her.’

Hugh has been known for his reluctance to marry over the years – having split up with his actress girlfriend Elizabeth Hurley in 2000 after 13 years together.

He told People magazine in 2015: ‘I’m not really a believer in marriage. I’ve seen very few good examples, maybe five, in my life, but I think otherwise it’s a recipe for mutual misery.’

However, Hugh and Anna tied the knot last month at the Kensington and Chelsea register office, close to the couple’s £10million home in the capital.

The actor looked sharp for the occasion in a navy suit and a pale blue shirt, which complemented his new wife’s crisp blouse and white mini skirt.

While he is delighted to be married, Hugh did reveal there was also a practical reason behind the decision to USA Today.

Speaking to the publication on Tuesday, he explained: ‘My wife agrees with me that marriage is a pretty preposterous social construct, but when you’ve got three children, it’s a nice thing to do.

‘I didn’t like going through immigration into countries where they’d say, ‘Everyone with a Grant passport, over here, and all the others through there.’ She went through with the nannies. That seemed all wrong.’

The couple have been together six years and share three children, John Mungo, who was born in September 2012, and another child born in December 2015.
